As part of our upcoming Happiness Project, Pilot are collaborating with Mindfulness and Movement practitioner and director of Queer Space Bristol, Lizzie Wiggs, to put together a Creative Wellbeing Toolkit for Everyday Life, with and for the LGBTQIA+ community and are looking for workshop participants aged 18 - 26. Due to current Covid-19 restrictions the workshops are being held online. This is a free offer.
Over six weekly sessions starting February 4th 2021 Lizzie will work with participants to explore all things creativity and wellbeing and how we can better identify and support our self-care needs. These are practical and creative sessions in a supportive, and gently paced environment.
Each session explores the science and the practicing of different self care tools, from mindfulness techniques, to creative writing and journaling, the benefits of being in nature, ‘5 ways to wellbeing’ and more, to find out what works for us as individuals. We hope these sessions provide a fun way to meet new people, creating a sense of connection and community.
At the end of the six weeks we’ll put together a Creative Wellbeing Toolkit for Everyday Life documenting participants' discoveries, reflections and top tips (this will be done anonymously) so that it can be a useful and inspiring resource for other LGBTQIA+ people and organisations.
This course takes place online over 6 consecutive weeks on Thursday evenings from 7.30 – 9 pm. Each participant is sent a box of creative activities, with a task to explore each week between sessions.
