Outsiders (2015)

"rewarding and provocative new work from a company building a strong reputation for timely 're-imaginings' drawn from classic texts."

- British Theatre Guide

The sun was beating down on the beach. Five shots rang out and a man fell to the ground. A nameless Arab, dead.

Many years later two women, one French, one Algerian look up at the so blue sky and wonder what really happened to their lives that day and who they and each other are now.

Pilot Theatre, in association with Australian Theatre for Young People, Sydney took the classic novel L’Etranger and retold it through the stories of two women, Marie and Sumaya.  Pilot's 2015 production, written by Emteaz Hussain (Blood), gave voice to the forgotten in a compelling re imagining of Albert Camus' novel.
