Support us

We care passionately about our work and the young people who take part in our projects and watch our shows. We welcome donations, no matter how small, to enable us to extend our creative learning activities and to make theatre as inclusive and accessible to as many people as possible and support the next generation of performers and creatives. Your donation will really help to make a difference.

Just the Ticket – for Young People in Need

Our 2024 Big Give campaign will launch on 3rd December and run until 10th December. During this week any donations we recieve will be match funded, that means if you donate £10 we get £20!

Just the Ticket will provide free tickets/access to less advantaged and marginalized young people to attend our touring shows and participate in our projects. This includes school and community groups, young deaf learners, and refugees. Access needs will be met to ensure full participation.

Situation

Disadvantaged young people face increasing barriers to accessing live theatre, with rising ticket prices, a cost-of-living squeeze, less arts provision both in and out of the curriculum and school staffing shortages. Without these experiences young people miss out on developing valuable life skills, and exposure to diverse perspectives. Teachers are also seeking resources and CPD workshops to help provide students with enriching cultural experiences that are otherwise out of reach.

Solution

Pilot Theatre’s ‘Just the Ticket’ initiative will provide tickets and workshops to disadvantaged young people from schools and community groups who would otherwise be unable to attend or experience the activity. Our shows are especially produced for young people and accompanying free, accessible resources and workshops, along with CPD and support for teachers, will promote discussion, learning, and confidence in arts participation, inspiring further engagement in cultural activities.
