Tenacious Women (2021)

What does it mean to be a woman with a northern accent in leadership settings in 2021?

A panel of tenacious women come together to share their experiences and offer advice and inspiration. With a special focus on arts, media and politics, this panel featured Helen Thomas, Head of BBC Radio 2, Sharon Watson (Principal of the Northern School of Contemporary Dance), Lisa Holdsworth (award-winning TV and Theatre writer), Hannah Peel (Emmy-nominated and RTS winning composer), Tracy Brabin (Labour and Co-operative Mayor of West Yorkshire), and is chaired by our Artist Director Esther Richardson.

This event was hosted live on Zoom Webinar with questions asked in a Q&A function.

Tenacious Women was part of our Northern Girls project for 2021, hosted by York Festival of Ideas, and supported by Arts Council England and the Lottery Community Fund.
